- In some qualitative methods bias is inevitable as the researcher is unavoidably part of the data gathering. Does this mean that bias is not really an issue in research?
- Answer
- Bias is inevitable but it is still an issue, just as for example in a product risk of failure is inevitable, but we still try to reduce it.
About a best way for research:
- Question
- Is there one best way to do research, namely as presented in the research roadmap?
- Answer
- The research roadmap is a map not a way, so just as there are many ways to travel over a map so there are many ways to do research. The goal of the map is to suggest ways and point out pitfalls.
