Theory Contribution

Describe your theory contribution, if any.

As a contributor to knowledge you may contribute to theory or to data outcomes or to both. If you are taking a new theory point of view, you should note the differences. Unfortunately many reviewers are "wedded" to the current accepted views, so if you differ from the norm expect a rocky road to publication, as genuinely new research usually polarizes reviewers, i. e. some love it and some hate it. However if no-one ever differed from established theory, research would not progress. The key is to be open about how you differ from others, and make your case clearly.
