Target Audience

State the target audience that is expected to be interested in this publication

The relevance of research is indicated by the number of people interested in it, and is distinct from its rigor or quality. Define your target audience, by statements like ‘This paper will interest software users." to help readers relate to it. Stating your target audience shows you have considered your research's relevance. Knowing your target audience also helps define the way the publication is written, e. g. is it for a technical group or a user group?
