Sample Size
Check the sample is big enough for the question(s) asked of the data
Experimental designs can be summarized as matrix grids, e. g. how usability affects web usage is a study of Web Usage (High, Medium, Low) by Usability (High, Medium, Low), a 3 x 3 study with 9 cells. So if each cell needs 15 subjects, the research needs at least 9 x 15 = 135 cases. In contrast a study of Web Usage (High, Medium, Low) by Usability (High, Medium, Low) and Gender (Male/Female) is a 3 x 2 x 3 study which needs 270 subjects! More independent variables/values means more subjects are needed for the study.
